This August, ten designers from Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia and Uganda, all current participants or alumni of the Creative DNA programme, will participate in a curated series of events at Africa Fashion Week (AFWL), the world’s longest-running platform dedicated to African and African-inspired fashion.

Our collaboration at AFWL is rooted in our belief in the power of creativity to build inclusive, sustainable futures. Through a thoughtfully designed programme, we are providing emerging African designers with the opportunity to deepen their international connections, explore market access pathways, and share their work with new audiences.

Over two days, Creative DNA will be presented through a dedicated catwalk show, a British Council exhibition pavilion, and participation in the AFWL talks forum. These experiences will be followed by UK-based manufacturing tours, providing designers with valuable insights into ethical production practices, industry standards, and future partnership opportunities.

Join Us at Africa Fashion Week London

The Creative DNA showcase will take place 9-10 August 2025 at Space House, London

We invite you to visit the British Council Pavilion, connect with the designers, and attend the Creative DNA catwalk show on Saturday 9 August at 4:00 PM.
