Museums Revisited examines the role of museums in today’s society across Europe.

This capacity-building programme creates new networks and partnerships between cultural and civil society organisations, and influences policies related to the role of museums in society, local development, tourism and creative industries.

Through a series of initiatives and activities, Museums Revisited addresses the skills gaps and lack of opportunities facing European museum professionals, and fosters dialogue between UK and European museums.

The CoMuseum

The CoMuseum is an international museum conference co-hosted in partnership with the US Embassy in Athens and the Benaki Museum.

Designed in collaboration with cultural and museum professionals, policy makers and artists from across the region, the conference tackles a broad range of issues from DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Accessibility) and social impact on communities, to questions around decolonialisation, digital transformation and the sector's stance on the climate emergency.

The CoMuseum is conceived as a hybrid event, with opportunities to join both in person and online, and aims to share global best practices, address contemporary challenges and build a global network of professionals to shape the future of culture. The three-day event includes masterclasses, workshops, networking sessions and a global delegation programme.

This year's conference will run from 4-6 December 2024, with full details to be announced soon. For updates, sign up to the Arts newsletter at the bottom of this page.
