Our work in Culture and Global Challenges
Our work in Culture and Global Challenges supports artists, cultural practitioners, creative organisations and policymakers to develop their creative practice and networks, respond to major social and environmental issues in their work and support sustainable development.
Through training programmes, grants, research and policy engagement work that takes a people-centred approaches to development, we place co-creation and local leadership at the heart of our work.
We work with under-represented groups, including women and girls, LGBTQIA+ communities, indigenous communities and disabled people, to explore and share their experiences through culture and heritage.
Working in partnership with agencies such as UNESCO, we champion the central role of arts, culture and heritage in tackling global challenges around five themes: Heritage; Creative Climate Action; Progressive Platforms; Gender Equality; and Disability Arts.
