The 2026 Bocas Lit Fest – the 16th annual edition – ran from Thursday 30 April to 3 May in Port of Spain, Trinidad. It's a vibrant celebration of books, writers, and ideas, bringing together voices from the Caribbean and around the world.
We supported two UK writers to attend the festival – Alison Donnell and Raymond Antrobus – and you can stream their events on the Bocas Lit Fest YouTube channel.
Lost and Found: An A-Z of Neglected Writers of the Anglophone Caribbean
In her book Lost and Found, Alison Donnell assembles 25 Caribbean writers of the 20th century whose work has slipped into obscurity. She explains the background and timeliness of this book in conversation with Ronald Cummings, alongside readings from the works of selected authors.
One-on-One: Raymond Antrobus
In The Quiet Ear: An Investigation of Missing Sound, acclaimed poet Raymond Antrobus tells the story of growing up at the intersection of race and disability, and how deafness — and its community — have shaped his life and sensibility. In conversation with Andre Bagoo.
