International Festivals and Biennials

Our dedicated grants programme has supported presentations by UK architects and designers across multiple international platforms, including the São Paulo Architecture Biennial and Moscow International Biennale, Beijing Design Week and the central exhibition at the Venice Architecture Biennale.

In 2024 we awarded grants of up to £5,000 to support biennials and festivals in the UK to present work by international designers, and to biennials and festivals outside the UK to present work by UK designers.

For 2026, the International Festivals and Biennials grants form part of Connections Through Culture, our consolidated grants programme supporting new connections, co-creations, cross-cultural exchanges and long-term collaborations between the UK and participating countries.

Applications are now open for Connections Through Culture 2026. Apply for a grant of between £5,000 - £15,000 by 12 August 2026.
