Poems on the Underground

Six million daily travellers in London will be familiar with Poems on the Underground, an initiative that displays posters of UK and international poetry across the city's transport network. 

Since the project's inception we have supported Poems on the Underground to feature poems by leading UK and international poets, and displayed the poster series in our offices around the world. 

Our involvement has inspired similar initiatives in cities including Dublin, Paris, New York, Oslo, Helsinki, Warsaw and Beijing, introducing global audiences to poetry old and new, familiar and unfamiliar and becoming a much-loved part of people's daily commutes all over the world.

The Poems on the Underground model is one which continues to inspire replicas internationally, enabling further connection between the UK and overseas.
