Multiple venues, Belfast
1 – 3 November 2024
In partnership with Belfast City Council, we have commissioned a series of international creative collaorations that explore the theme of Art and the Public Realm and bring international perspectives to Belfast 2024.
Red Sky at Night is a festival of new art commissions that celebrate the city, draw inspiration from its people and connect people and place, presented in six unique and historic Belfast locations.
Curated and delivered by collectively-led arts organisation Household, the festival includes work by international artists Zuza Golińska (Poland), Kanich Khajohnsri (Thailand), Kasper Lecnim & Irmina Rusicka (Poland), Dina Mimi (Palestine), Aisling O’Beirn (Ireland) and Leandros Ntolas (Greece).
The participating artists have spent time in Belfast on Household’s international artists-in-residence programme Artists in Neighbourhoods to understand the city and develop their work.
Featuring interventions into architecture, sound performances and immersive installations, the night time art festival invites audiences to see their city in a new light.
All installations and events are free to visit from Friday 1 November – Sunday 3 November. Performances will have limited capacity and will require pre-booking. Booking links will be available soon.
